So it's time for a 'pissed off journal' (once again) but this time I think some of you might profit from reading it and will be able to avoid some huuuge mistakes I did.

So a couple of months ago I was commissioned by werewwulf who wanted me to draw her nordanner. It was a 8000:points: commission, which means very detailed fullbody with background. I finished her commission a month later and posted it on DA. As you've probably realized already; she didn't pay for it. Or at least she hasn't till this day. I'm not going to go on about how fucking mean and rude it is to order a commission and then not pay for it, cause that's not the point of this journal.

I blame myself for what happened, or at least I know I could've done a lot to prevent it from happening. Like getting half the payment when the commissioner sees the sketch. I can't believe how freaking ignorant I was to believe people out there would never do such a rude thing. So people remember always get at least half of the payment before doing all the work.

I still don't regret this happening cause the commission ended up being one of my personal faves of mine. I'm planning on putting it up as a print, cause I painted it on a big enough canvas to print out on A3. I'm already planning on ordering one for myself :)

Oh well that's it, I need to run of to work cause I have some depts to pay of, belhhhhh..

Paying for something before it's done, and doing something before the person pays for the product, both are a very risky thing to do, and it's a gamble when you do so.
Such a shame this happened though.
